Well, it's been half a year with no Block Action, so I guess it can be declared legally dead. Daigo himself is not responding to e-mails (I've sent him 3) so therefore, I conclude he either: a) totally hates me or b) just doesn't care. So, I guess I'll see you guys elsewhere. Confused

I thikn diago has gone off doing bigger and better things.

Another bad thing is, even if he does get it up and running again, he'll probably be using a new server, therefore all our levels will be gone (i think)

+ Blockquest is still goin Confused

uhhmm...i do have this game making programme which someone could use to re-create something like blockaction. making the game isn't very hard, the only trouble is 1/ making levels user-creatable 2/ getting it on the net. we need a clever person!!!

Your idea might work. I'm a bit of a geek... Is there any way you could e-mail me the program?

The biggest problem would be copyrighting. I'm not sure I could directly rip off blockaction, I'd have to do something new and different. And even then the programming would take a year at least without help. Confused

EDIT: I just noticed that this forum replaces t-h-e word t-h-e with "and". Lol. Smile

you're right, i've fixed it now. with the programming it can be done in a couple of weeks. i'm working on a game which is pretty much finished with a menu and everythin i just need to perfect it.

you can throw in some extra crap and use different pictures if copyright's a problem. claim its a "parody" or somethin, those are legal,

Ok I have 6 weeks of holiday comin up and i'm already bored, so I'm gonna try and make something similar to blockaction. Unfortunately if it is successful, you will only be able to play it on a site called www.yoyogames.com because it's not flash. But that is a nice game site it has loads on it, a lot of good games all created by everyday people with 'Game Maker' which is what I'll be using to try and make it. I don't think it will be too hard to make because i already made a few games with it. The only things I won't be able to do is good graphics and the proper physics of the blockaction guy (I don't know a lot about Game Maker physics). Oh, also it's possible to make a level editor but that might take me a while. I'll do my best but it might take a while.
